Method
Step 1: Make the Meat Sauce
- Heat oil in a large pan. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden.
- Stir in garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
- Add tomato and bell pepper. Cook until soft and oil starts to separate.
- Add paprika, chilli powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
- Add minced meat and cook until browned and fully cooked.
- Stir in frozen vegetables, tinned tomatoes, stock cube, and water.
- Simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Step 2: Assemble the Lasagne
- Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce.
- Add a layer of lasagne sheets.
- Spread a layer of white sauce or cheese sauce over the pasta.
- Repeat the layers (meat, pasta, sauce) until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce and a generous topping of grated cheese.
Step 3: Bake
- Bake for 30 minutes, the sheet will be soft and the cheese will be perfectly golden and bubbly.
