Lasagne
A fusion twist on a classic, this Pakistani-style lasagne is layered with spiced mince, mixed vegetables, and cheesy white sauce. It['s comforting, flavourful, and perfect for family dinners or make-ahead meals

- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Large Onion
- 1 Tomato
- 1 Bell Pepper
- 1.5 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Garlic Paste
- 2 tsp Paprika
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
- 500 g Mince meat
- 400 g Frozen Mixed Vegetables
- 1 Stock Cube
- 1 Can Tinned tomatoes
- 1/2 Cup Water
- 1 tsp Worcestershire Sauce
Step 1: Make the Meat Sauce
Heat oil in a large pan. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden.
Stir in garlic paste and cook for 1 minute.
Add tomato and bell pepper. Cook until soft and oil starts to separate.
Add paprika, chilli powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for another 1–2 minutes.
Add minced meat and cook until browned and fully cooked.
Stir in frozen vegetables, tinned tomatoes, stock cube, and water.
Simmer on low heat for 15–20 minutes until the mixture thickens slightly. Adjust seasoning to taste.
Step 2: Assemble the Lasagne
Preheat oven to 180°C (160°C fan) / 350°F.
In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce.
Add a layer of lasagne sheets.
Spread a layer of white sauce or cheese sauce over the pasta.
Repeat the layers (meat, pasta, sauce) until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of sauce and a generous topping of grated cheese.
