Jam Heart Cookies

Soft and delicious shortbread cookies with sweet jam heart centre

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Butter softened
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 140 g Plain Flour

Instructions
 

  • Whisk together the butter and sugar until creamy.
  • Add in the egg yolk and vanilla extract and whisk until combined.
  • Sift in the plain flour and fold until combined. You may have to use your hands to combine and bring the dough together.
  • Roll small dough balls and place on a lined baking tray.
  • Flatten the balls with your hand and then using your index finger, create a heart shape in the centre.
  • Fill the heart with your jam of choice. Place in a pre-heated oven at 170°C for 15 mins.
