Jam Heart Cookies

Soft and delicious shortbread cookies with sweet jam heart centre
Course: baked good

Ingredients
  

  • 100 g Butter softened
  • 40 g Sugar
  • 1 Egg yolk
  • ½ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 140 g Plain Flour

Method
 

  1. Whisk together the butter and sugar until creamy.
  2. Add in the egg yolk and vanilla extract and whisk until combined.
  3. Sift in the plain flour and fold until combined. You may have to use your hands to combine and bring the dough together.
  4. Roll small dough balls and place on a lined baking tray.
  5. Flatten the balls with your hand and then using your index finger, create a heart shape in the centre.
  6. Fill the heart with your jam of choice. Place in a pre-heated oven at 170°C for 15 mins.
