- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, vanilla extract, milk, brown sugar, and salt until smooth.
- Dip both sides of the bread slice into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated but not overly soggy.
- Heat a small amount of butter or oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat.
- Cook the soaked bread for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Transfer to a plate and spread or drizzle honey over the top while it’s still warm.
