Chicken Turnovers
Golden, flaky chicken turnovers filled with a creamy, spiced chicken and sweetcorn mix, wrapped in puff pastry and baked to perfection. A quick and easy savoury pastry perfect for snacks, lunchboxes, or parties.

- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 small Onion
- 1 Chicken Breast
- 1.5 tsp Chicken Seasoning
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tsp Dried Parsley
- 1/2 tsp Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Cream Cheese
- 1/2 Cup Sweetcorn
- Splash of Water
- 1 Sheet Puff Pastry 6 pastries
- Grated Cheese
- 1 Egg wash
- Sprinkle of Dried Parsley
Step 1: Prepare the Chicken Filling
Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent.
Add the chicken breast, garlic paste, chicken seasoning, black pepper, paprika, and dried parsley. Cook until the chicken is fully cooked and slightly golden.
Add sweetcorn and a splash of water to loosen the mixture. Stir in the cream cheese until melted and creamy.
Simmer for 1–2 minutes, then remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
Step 2: Assemble the Turnovers
Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan) / 400°F.
Cut the puff pastry sheet into 6 equal squares.
Place a spoonful of chicken filling on one half of each square. Top with a little grated cheese.
Fold each square into a triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal.
Brush the tops with egg wash and sprinkle with a little dried parsley.
Step 3: Bake
Place the turnovers on a lined baking tray.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed up.
