Chicken Nuggets

These crispy homemade chicken nuggets are tender, juicy, and full of flavour—made with simple ingredients and ready in under 30 minutes. Perfect for both kids and adults

Ingredients
  

  • 2 chicken breasts approx. 400–450g, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • 1 egg
  • 60 g plain flour
  • 80 g breadcrumbs panko or regular
  • Oil for frying or baking/air-frying method below

Method
 

  1. Place chicken pieces in a food processor along with the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika. Blend until smooth.
  2. Set Up Dipping Stations using three bowls: 1. Plain flour, 2. Whisked egg, 3. Breadcrumbs
  3. Then take a tablespoon amount mixture and shape into nuggets.
  4. Dip each nugget in flour → then egg wash → then breadcrumbs. Press gently to help the coating stick.
  5. Cook the Nuggets (see below for different cooking methods)
  6. Fry: Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry nuggets for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked.
  7. Bake: Place on a lined tray, spray with oil, and bake at 200°C (180°C fan) / 400°F for 18–20 minutes, flipping halfway.
  8. Air Fry: Spray with oil and air fry at 200°C / 400°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.
