Cheeseburger Bowl

This loaded burger bowl has all the flavours of a classic cheeseburger, seasoned beef, melty cheese, crispy homemade chips, tangy pickles, and your favourite sauces; served deconstructed in a hearty, satisfying bowl.

Ingredients
  

For the homemade chips:
  • 2 large potatoes cut into wedges or thick chips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt pepper, garlic powder, paprika (to taste)
For the beef layer:
  • 250 g beef mince
  • Salt & pepper
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • 2 slices of cheese e.g. American, cheddar
Toppings:
  • Chopped onions
  • Pickles sliced or chopped
  • Burger sauce / ketchup / mayo as desired
  • Optional: shredded lettuce chopped tomatoes, jalapeños

Method
 

Make the chips:
  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (or air fryer to 180°C).
  2. Toss potato wedges in olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
  3. Bake for 30–35 mins (or air fry for 20–25 mins), flipping halfway, until golden and crispy.
Cook the mince:
  1. In a pan over medium heat, cook beef mince with salt, pepper, onion powder, and paprika.
  2. Once cooked, divide into two portions and place a slice of cheese on each.
  3. Cover for 1–2 mins until the cheese melts.
Assemble the bowl:
  1. Base: crispy chips
  2. Middle: cheesy beef mince
  3. Top: onions, pickles, and your choice of sauces
  4. Serve immediately, hot and loaded!
