Why you’ll love Nutella Filled Cookies
- Decadent Flavour Combination:
- The rich, nutty, and chocolaty flavour of Nutella perfectly complements the buttery sweetness of the cookie dough. Each bite offers a delightful mix of flavours that is both comforting and indulgent.
- Surprise Filling:
- The gooey Nutella center provides a delightful surprise when you bite into the cookie. This hidden filling adds an element of excitement and indulgence, making these cookies stand out from regular chocolate chip cookies.
- Perfect Texture Contrast:
- The contrast between the soft, chewy cookie exterior and the creamy, smooth Nutella filling creates a satisfying texture experience. This combination makes each bite interesting and enjoyable, offering both crunch and melt-in-your-mouth creaminess.
- Versatile and Customisable:
- Nutella-stuffed cookies are highly versatile and can be customized to suit your preferences. You can use different types of cookie dough (chocolate chip, peanut butter, sugar cookie) and add extra ingredients like nuts, sea salt, or even a sprinkle of cinnamon to enhance the flavor.
- Crowd-Pleaser:
- These cookies are sure to impress and delight anyone who tries them. They are perfect for sharing at parties, bake sales, or as a special homemade gift. Their unique twist on a classic cookie makes them a memorable and popular choice for any occasion.
Top Tips
- Chill the Dough:
- Firm Up the Dough: After preparing the cookie dough, chill it in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to an hour. Chilled dough is easier to handle and less likely to spread too much while baking, which helps maintain the stuffed shape.
- Use a Cookie Scoop:
- Consistent Sizes: Use a cookie scoop to portion out the dough evenly. This ensures uniform cookie sizes, which leads to even baking. Larger cookies also provide more space to accommodate the Nutella filling.
- Monitor Baking Time:
- Prevent Overbaking: Bake the cookies just until the edges are set and lightly golden. The centres may still look slightly under baked but they will continue to firm up as they cool. Overbaking can result in dry cookies and less gooey Nutella centres.
- Quality ingredients:
- Using good quality ingredients can massively change the flavour and texture of your cookie. I love the flavour of Nutella compared to other chocolate spreads but choose the one you like most.
