Delicious Combination: Kinder Rice Krispies Crunch Bars blend the rich, creamy taste of Kinder chocolate with the satisfying crunch of classic Rice Krispies, creating an irresistible treat.

Kid-Friendly: These treats are a hit with kids and adults alike, making them perfect for family snacks, lunchbox surprises, or party treats.

Easy to Make: Kinder Rice Krispies are simple to prepare, requiring only a few ingredients and minimal time, making them an excellent option for a quick and tasty homemade dessert.

Customisable: You can easily customise Kinder Rice Krispies by adding extra ingredients like marshmallows, nuts, or sprinkles, making them versatile for different tastes and occasions.

Perfect Balance of Texture: The combination of smooth Kinder chocolate and crispy rice cereal creates a delightful balance of creamy and crunchy textures in every bite.

Top Tips

Melt Kinder Bars Gently: Use a double boiler or microwave the Kinder bars in short intervals (15-20 seconds) to melt them slowly. Stir frequently to prevent the chocolate from burning or becoming grainy.

Coat Evenly: Once the chocolate is fully melted, quickly add the Rice Krispies and stir thoroughly to ensure that each piece is evenly coated with the melted chocolate for a consistent flavour in every bite.

Work Quickly: The melted Kinder bars can start to harden as they cool. To make shaping easier, work quickly to mix and transfer the mixture into the mold or tray before it starts to set.

Use a Lined Tray: Line your tray or mold with parchment paper or lightly grease it before adding the mixture. This prevents sticking and makes it easier to remove the bars once they’ve set.

Press Firmly but Gently: When transferring the mixture into the tray, press it down firmly with a spatula or the back of a spoon to ensure it sets into a solid block, but be careful not to crush the Rice Krispies to maintain their crunch.

Ingredients you’ll need to make Kinder Rice Krispies Crunch Bars

  • 200 g chocolate (dark, milk, or white, as preferred)
  • 100 g Rice Krispies (or any puffed rice cereal)
  • 16 Kinder Bars (melted)
  • 4 Kinder Bars (to garnish)

How to make Kinder Rice Krispies Crunch Bars

  1. Melt the Chocolate:
    • Break the chocolate into small pieces and place them in a microwave-safe bowl.
    • Microwave the chocolate in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can melt the chocolate using a double boiler on the stove.
  2. Combine Chocolate and Rice Krispies:
    • Once the chocolate is melted, remove it from the microwave or stove.
    • Add the Rice Krispies to the melted chocolate and stir gently until the cereal is completely coated with the chocolate.
  3. Prepare the Pan:
    • Line a baking dish or pan (approximately 20×20 cm or similar size) with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
    • Pour the chocolate and Rice Krispies mixture into the prepared pan. Use a spatula to spread it out evenly and press it down gently to ensure it is compact.
  4. Set the Bars:
    • Place the pan in the refrigerator and let it chill for about 1 hour, or until the chocolate has completely set.
  5. Cut and Serve:
    • Once the chocolate is set, remove the pan from the refrigerator.
    • Lift the parchment paper to remove the entire block from the pan.
    • Use a sharp knife to cut the block into bars of your desired size.
  6. Store:
    • Store the crunch bars in an airtight container at room temperature or in the refrigerator for a firmer texture.
