Why you’ll love this Cinnamon Roll Cake
Classic Cinnamon Roll Flavour
You’ll love this cinnamon roll cake because it combines the signature warm, spiced cinnamon roll taste with the light, fluffy texture of a cake, giving you the best of both worlds.
Easy to Make
Unlike traditional cinnamon rolls, which require dough rising and rolling, a cinnamon roll cake is much simpler to prepare, saving you time without sacrificing flavour.
Perfect for Sharing
This cake is ideal for family gatherings, brunches, or dessert spreads, making it a hit at any event.
Customisable Glaze
The sweet vanilla glaze on top adds an extra layer of indulgence and can be easily customised with different flavours like maple or cream cheese.
Warm and Comforting
The combination of cinnamon and sugar with a soft, buttery cake creates a warm, comforting dessert that’s perfect for any occasion, especially in the colder months.
Top Tips
Use Softened Butter for the Batter
Ensure your butter is softened to room temperature before mixing. Soft butter incorporates better with the sugar, creating a smoother batter and a lighter texture.
Swirl the Cinnamon Mixture Gently
When adding the cinnamon mixture, use a knife or toothpick to swirl it through the batter without overmixing. This helps create beautiful cinnamon ribbons and maintains the cake’s light texture.
Don’t Overbake
Keep a close eye on the cake while it’s baking. Overbaking can dry it out, so check for doneness by inserting a skewer into the centre; if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, it’s done.
Adjust the Glaze Consistency
Depending on your preference, you can make the glaze thicker by adding more icing sugar or thinner by adding more milk. A thinner glaze will soak into the cake, while a thicker one will sit on top.
Serve Warm for Best Flavour
Cinnamon roll cake is at its best when served warm, as the cinnamon flavour is more intense, and the glaze is perfectly gooey.
