TOP TIPS ON MAKING THE BEST BANG BANG CHICKEN SKEWERS
- Marinate for Flavour: For maximum flavour infusion, marinate your chicken at least 30 minutes before threading onto skewers. This ensures each bite is packed with deliciousness.
- Pre-soak Skewers: If you’re using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before threading the chicken onto them. This prevents the skewers from burning during the cooking process.
- Uniform Sizing: Cut your chicken into evenly-sized pieces to ensure uniform cooking. This helps prevent some pieces from being overcooked while others are still undercooked.
- Grill with Care: If you choose to grill instead of air-fry, then grill the chicken skewers over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until they are cooked through and nicely charred on the outside, usually about 8-10 minutes. Keep an eye on them to prevent burning, as the sugar in the sauce can caramelize quickly. Test for doneness by ensuring the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 75°C/165°F.
