Top Tips for Making White Chocolate Twix Bars

  1. Don’t Overwork the Shortbread Dough
Mix just until the ingredients come together to ensure the base remains tender and crumbly.
  2. Use a Heavy-Bottomed Pan for Caramel
This prevents hot spots and ensures even cooking, so your caramel doesn’t burn.
  3. Chill Between Layers
Allow the shortbread to cool completely and the caramel to set before adding the chocolate layer for clean and precise bars.
  4. Cut with a Warm Knife
To get neat edges when slicing, warm your knife in hot water, wipe it dry, and cut through the bars carefully.
  5. Customize the Chocolate Layer
Add a drizzle of dark or milk chocolate over the white chocolate coating for a decorative touch or to balance sweetness.

Storage Advice

  • At Room Temperature:
Store the Twix bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days if your kitchen is cool and dry.
  • In the Refrigerator:
For longer storage or in warmer climates, keep them in the fridge in an airtight container for up to a week. Allow them to come to room temperature before serving to enhance the flavor and texture.
  • In the Freezer:
Freeze the bars in a freezer-safe container with parchment paper between layers for up to 2 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before enjoying.
